Two Extraordinary Amazon River Tours

On our Amazon river tours we operate two Amazon river tours in the wilds of Brasil. Both are expedition cruises and are thoughtful, active and authentic. And both of these cruises have our excellent staff and our world class naturalist guides. But their are very different in one important way: one cruise is six nights and the other four!

• Our six night cruise, Voyage to the Heart of the Amazon, is a full six days long and ventures far, far into the wilderness on the most exploratory and thoughtful expedition cruise in the entire Amazon. The course of the vessel takes us into areas rarely visited and into the heart of wild nature.
• Our four night cruise, Into the Wild Amazon, has three full days and four nights of exploration so it is about half as long as the other.  In this amount of time travelers can experience the essential aspects of Amazon nature - the wild forest, the magnificent plantlife, and some of the signature fauna. It is an expedition cruise, but less intensive than our other. But it is about right for some travelers.

Voyage to the Heart of the Amazon, (6 Nights)

This expedition cruise ventures deep into the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Central Amazon Conservation Complex and explores some of the most untouched rainforest in all of the Amazon. On the Motor Yacht Tucano we venture far up the Rio Negro actively exploring the rainforest and visiting several different kinds of rainforest along the way. Near the end of the cruise we enter the Amazon River itself. We see amazingly colorful birds, magnificent trees draped with vines and covered with orchids and occasional monkeys chattering and cavorting in the branches.

Into the Wild Amazon,  4 (nights)

The cruise Into the Wild Amazon includes the most essential kinds of experiences observing the wildlife and culture of the rainforest. We walk in towering rainforests, glide along narrow streams deep in the forest, and explore flooded grasslands that stretch from horizon to horizon. This is a shorter cruise than our expedition cruises, but does visit both the Rio Negro and the Amazon River. We board the Motor Yacht Tucano on a Monday afternoon and disembark on Friday morning. In this brief time travelers can experience the flora and fauna of the Amazon and experience the last great wilderness on earth in a short space of time.
