These are the most storied rivers in all of the Amazon and on our journey we will experience the sharp contrasts of the two largest rivers in the world.

Itinerary Sketch
Three Toed SlothDay 1 We board the Amazon river boat The Motor Yacht Tucano and head up the Rio Negro and by afternoon arrive in a wilderness area.

Day 2 Today we will excursion in our launches and walk in the forest to observe wildlife.

A view of the RainforestDay 3 We enter one of the world’s largest river island systems, the Anavilhanas Archipelago a maze of wilderness islands followed by a visit to the Amazon village of Novo Airão. We travel during the night to the Amazon River.

Day 4 Today we explore the Amazon River and travel to the “Encontra das Aguas” the several mile long line where the world’s two largest rivers, the Amazon and the Negro, join in a turbulent maelstrom. In the afternoon travel to one of the large lakes on the south bank of the Amazon River to continue our search for wildlife, plant and animal.

Launch ExcursionDay 5 Exploring by launch as well as walking in a small village to learn a bit about the culture of Amazon settlers. Tonight we travel to Manaus for early morning arrival.

Day 6 After breakfast passengers disembark from Tucano and check transfer to the international airport.

Degree of Difficulty: Passengers must be able to get in and out of small boats and walk comfortably for up to two hours at a time in the forest.
Group Size: Maximum of 9 cabins
